At the completion of the workshop, learners will/will be able to:

  1. Define physical literacy
  2. Describe the typical time course of movement (motor) skill development in childhood
  3. Describe the relationship between brain development and motor skill development
  4. Give examples of structured and facilitated active play
  5. Describe how environment, activities and equipment can support physical literacy development,
  6. Assess physical literacy development
  7. Provide physical literacy mentorship to others.
